Intercoms

Made in Italy, Legrand’s intercom systems offer an integrated solution to audio and visual home, business or multi-storey apartment sound. Installation sizes vary dependent on building size; for example, they can be installed for entire apartment blocks, or fitted to a smaller scale home. The intercom technology is available for Connected Doorbells, Connected Video Internal Units, and more! You can answer the intercom from your smartphone and open gates & doors when you are away from the house.

What is automation?

People assume automation is being able to control your property from any mobile device or tablet. This is partly true, but a person still needs to be involved to operate that device, making the mobile device just another switch.

At Smart Automation we deliver true automation. True automation is the ability to have a sequence of actions triggered by an event to achieve a certain task or goal without any intervention from people.

For example. Let’s say you are leaving the property, and the lights are on in various places, the air conditioner is on, and the kids have been watching the TV. You are running late already. You load up the car and leave. The trigger could be a certain time set in the system or Geolocating on a mobile device.

Once triggered the system then knows that everything needs to be turned off and a notification is sent to your device. This can also work in reverse. Once arriving back at the property, the system turns items on.

Climate Control

The Home temperature control system integrates easily with air-conditioning systems. The system can be controlled locally or remotely via smart device. For example, a homeowner can turn on the air-conditioning when they are leaving work so their home is a comfortable temperature upon their arrival.

By installing an outdoor weather station we can control windows and blinds to control the ambiance of your environment automatically. By tracking the sun we can open and close the blinds throughout the day as the sun crosses the sky from east to west. If there is any rain detected the windows can open and close when the rain starts and stops.

Legrand have three smart switch styles for you to choose from. Even their five-year battery operated Wireless Switches are a sleek and clever alternative to cabled wall mounted switches. This product can be installed anywhere and inside becomes part of the ZigBee wireless protocol linking wired switches to wireless switches. It connects through their ZigBee gateway that connects to the Wi-Fi router and you can control all the lighting and power points from your mobile device through the Home + Control app. It also integrates With Siri, Google and Alexa! There is a ZigBee switch to suit every environment!
